Chapter 1 is built on the NJ Grade 4 ELA standards Washington Twp. uses. Every choice secretly checks a reading skill: main idea, vocabulary in context, making inferences, point of view, citing text evidence, and theme. Wrong answers never punish — they re-teach and let the kid try again. Coins carry over between sessions and (phase 2) convert to real reward points.
